700 Series Crawler Mounted E-Cranes™
The 700 Series Crawler Mounted E-Crane™ is our “entry” level material-handling crane. As with the other larger E-Crane™ series, the 700 Series is electrically powered using 400 or 480-volt power. Mobile versions of this crane are available in either rail or crawler mounted lowers. On mobile mounts, a self-contained sound attenuated Caterpillar diesel generator set provides the electric power to run the hydraulic pumps.

The use of a diesel generator set for the mobile E-Crane provides several advantages ;
- The diesel engine is completely isolated from the electrical controls and hydraulic power unit, allowing everything to stay much cleaner.
- Optional switch gear can be provided to allow the mobile crane to run on “shore” power when traveling is not required.
- Diesel generator set is fully supported by Caterpillar.
