E-Crane® Receives New Contract from MultiServ
E-Crane International USA has been awarded a new and important contract for the supply of several new scrap handling E-Cranes for the Villa Constitucion plant of Acindar Industria Argentina de Aceros SA. Supporting Acindar’s plans to further increase production and efficiency, the E-Cranes will play a key role in the comprehensive on-site scrap management services provided by MultiServ.
The installation of these new E-Cranes is done on a turn-key basis and the cranes are expected to be fully operational by the middle of 2007. The cranes have been sized and designed in close cooperation with MultiServ’s Acindar project team. These E-Cranes will improve the availability and flow of scrap materials to the mill for its Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking operations while also supporting Acindar’s plans to increase production. With a reach of up to 32 meters (105 ft) and a lift capacity of more then 10 tons these cranes together with the new shredder will become the backbone of MultiServ’s scrap catering and scrap processing activities for Acindar.
After successful installations in European and Asian steel mills, this contract is seen as a new and important milestone by E-Crane management. It clearly shows E-Crane®’s firm commitment to provide the steel industry worldwide with solutions for their scrap handling activities such as unloading, stockpiling and loading.
