E-Crane’s 1st crane shipment under a container project!

E-Crane is proud to announce that recently we successfully conducted our first E-Crane shipped via a container vessel!

This shipment option results in a substantial freight cost reduction for the customer, as well as great flexibility in the boarding schedule with almost weekly departures from worldwide ports.

It’s important to note that the container shipment for the E-Crane is not the standard type (with 10’, 20’, or 40’ containers), but uses “Flat Rack” (FR) and “High Cube” (HC) type containers.  The larger E-Crane components were accommodated on several FR containers put together (called “bed rack).

Thanks to our networking developed in the Brazilian market, we were able to get in touch with a German freight operator, COLI, who helped us arrange the shipment and provided door-to-door support. The entire E-Crane project was completed in an extremely expedited timeframe.  We are delivering a 1000C Series / Model EH7290 PD-E on a straight column lower to be mounted on a floating barge.  The E-Crane will unload fertilizer from barges and Handymax vessels to a hopper and achieve a ~900 tph peak unloading rate using an 8m3 grab. This is another floating E-Crane that will operate in the Arch North (Miritituba, PA) alongside the 4000 Series LDC E-Crane and the Amaggi Portochuelo identical model. The cargo was consolidated at the Zeebrugge Port on December 11 and lashed on December 12.  The shipment is expected to arrive in Brazil January 20, 2021, and the assembly will take place in mid-February.
