Mr. Kzan Ce Chung, ‘vice president technical’, was extremely pleased with the erection process and the professional support and can-do attitude from our erection supervisor Mr. Jean-Marie Verschoore.
This E-Crane™ (a 700-series, type 4248PD-E) has now been working for more than 2800 hours. The average off-loading capacity is well above 200 tons per hour, including the clean-up in the ships hold. This means that this smallest member of the E-Crane™ family has moved approx. 600.000 tons of cement clinker during the last 16 months !!!
In the first 2800 working hours no standstills were reported !!! The only problem they have is that due to the big voltage variations in the electrical supply grid the supply voltage protection sometimes shut down the crane. A voltage stabilizer was installed by the factory and this took care of the problem.

De E-Crane™ (700-serie, model 4248PD-E) heeft ondertussen meer dan 2800 uren gedraaid met een gemiddelde overslagcapaciteit van meer dan 200 ton, inclusief het opschonen van de schepen. 16 maanden na de oplevering werd door deze kleinste telg van de E-Crane™ familie al ongeveer 600.000 ton cementklinker gelost.
In deze eerste 2800 uren is er nog geen enkele (!!!) stilstand geweest die te wijten was aan de kraan ! Door de grote variaties van de voedingsspanning valt de kraan af en toe stil omdat de spanningsbewaker op de kraan de motor stopt ter beveiliging van de elektrische componenten. Sinds de installatie van een ‘current stabilizer’ behoort ook dit ongemak tot het verleden.
