New Winchester golf news

NEW WINCHESTER – New Winchester golf course recently completed its club champion- ship Mark Osborne won the championship flight and Rick Leppert was runner-up. Mike Kackameyer won the A flight with Guy Benedict second. Kathy Dyer won the women’s championship flight over Ruthie Robinson. The A flight champion was Ruthie Parker, with Judi Cripple runner-up. Saturday will be the 2nd Annual Big Spender open. The 18-hole event will have a $50 entry fee. The OSU game will be shown on the course’s big screen TV.

Mark Osborne, PE ECI-USA said “I won my final match in the annual New Winchester Golf Course Club Championship (Championship flight) on August 30, 2007. The semi and final round is 18 hole match play. I beat my opponent in the semis 5&4 and won the final round 2&1. This makes six (6) times since 1995….I have been (lucky enough) to be the top player at New Winchester. It’s a small local course with friendly people…..but I am still proud to have this honor.”
