 KENCANA MURIA JAYA

KMJ first started to operate their E-Crane in 2019 at Muara Berau outer anchorage in East Kalimantan close to Samarinda. As a result of the successful operation during the first couple of years, in early 2022 the decision was taken to invest in a second identical floating E-Crane.  Both crane barges were built in Batam, after which the cranes were installed in the same shipyard and towed to Kalimantan.  Experience shows that the floating E-Cranes can comfortably be used in wave heights of up to 2.5m while rope cranes in the same area need to cease operation at wave heights of 1.5...

BAYAN RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION OF E-CRANE  Two 2000 Series E-Cranes are operating at Balikpapan Coal Terminal, owned by Bayan Resources. At this terminal barges from Bayan’s different mine sites are unloaded and transported to stockpile after which coal is loaded by dedicated ship loaders into large ocean going vessels.  The E-Cranes typically unload coal from 8,000 DWT deck barges into two hoppers (selection of hopper depends on swing angle ). Design capacity of each crane is 1,500 tons per hour and up to 400,000 tons per month is being unloaded with one E-Crane.  Both cranes are also...

Sherwin Alumina

Description of the E-Cranes When Sherwin Alumina needed to find a replacement for their old Continous Ship Unloaders, research showed E-Crane® to be the perfect and reliable solution for their bauxite ship unloading needs. While the CSU’s are impressive mechanical designs, the reality of constant and high cost of maintenance along with poor reliability has caused major unloading delays and brought about huge demurrage costs. The two E-Cranes were purchased fully assembled ready for pick-up at an offsite location for less than half of the cost of one of the old CSU’s new in the 1980’s....
