The Challenge:
Increasing Coal Transloading Capacity at a Remote River Location
PT Adaro Logistics needed an efficient solution for transferring coal from 4,000 DWT feeder barges to 15,000 DWT mother barges at its new B2B2 jetty. The remote location in Kelanis added complexity to transportation, assembly, installation, and commissioning, making efficient project execution particularly important. The new crane also needed to deliver the high throughput required for Adaro’s large-scale coal logistics operation. Installation costs and timing therefore had to be carefully managed without compromising E-Crane’s global installation and commissioning standards.
“The new crane plays a vital role in streamlining coal transloading operations, transferring material from 4,000 DWT feeder barges to 15,000 DWT mother barges, significantly boosting throughput capacity and efficiency.”
The Solution:
High-Capacity Coal Transloading Engineered for Kelanis
E-Crane, PT Multicrane Perkasa (MCP), and the local E-Crane Indonesia team worked together to deliver a solution tailored to both Adaro’s operational requirements and the challenges of the remote project location. A carefully planned preassembly strategy helped simplify final installation while supporting timely project execution.
